Guide to Services for At-Risk Youth, June 2011

This community guide highlights various local services and programs related to services for teens in Monroe County who are at risk of not completing high school. It is designed for service providers, but other community members concerned about the dropout problem may find it useful.

The guide includes both in-school programs and out-of-school programs and can help service providers connect youth with local programs.

Focus Group Input, April 2010

The Coalition conducted focus groups of 4 to 6 students from each of the county's three public high schools: Bloomington High School North, Bloomington High School South, and Edgewood High School in Monroe County, Indiana.

The focus groups have provided a genuine student voice to a community-wide discussion about school engagement and dropout prevention.  The report gains insight into the reasons why youths disengage from school and why some eventually drop out.
